God’s Armor-Righteous Exchange

“…having put on the breastplate of righteousness,” Ephesians 6:14

“And His own righteousness, it sustained Him. For He put on righteousness as a breastplate.” (Isaiah 59: 16b, 17a)

Praise God in glorious triumph! Our breastplate of righteousness, a divine exchange; Jesus’ righteousness for my unrighteousness. The breastplate protected the chest, the heart, from fatal blows and so I believe that righteousness protects my heart even in the thick of battle. Help me to remember that your heart was pierced so mine doesn’t have to be. As I don the breastplate, I see myself strong and valiant in the Lord!  I am more than a conqueror, able to speak to mountains that will only listen to my voice of authority. Father, this truth makes me pause. Don’t let distractions keep me from speaking Jesus’ name which is higher than any mountain looming in my life and the lives of your beloved. Yes, even that mountain, that one, the one the enemy is using to scare Jesus’ life out me, that one, I cast into the sea, never to resurface again!

Amen and amen!

As the author of the book, "Ziklag, a Den of Safety" I named the believers of God LightKeepers. Since I think of myself as a LightKeeper it is fitting to correlate that with light houses and their significance in aiding storm-tossed navigators to safety. Whether rough seas or smooth sailing, I hope my beckoning beacon shines through darkness, our very real opposition, so others reach God's shore of blessings.
