Living in the Light of a Great Calling
Before I ever wrote a novel or an essay I journaled my way through life. At first I blamed it on my young children who always interrupted my thoughts and prayers. (Erik and Jessica!) I wrote them down making it easy to pick up where I left off. It worked for me. They played at the park and I wrote my thoughts and prayers. I had no idea that this simple act of journaling empowered me to write many different things years later. Certainly novels, children’s books and essays were not on my radar! I was just trying to keep my thoughts straight.
Writing kept my thoughts together and comforted me beyond human aid when experiencing tough times or questioning my moorings. God always showed up as I poured my heart out in prayer hoping for divine intervention.
Very thankful for the craft that God used to turn my life into a living testimony of his love and faithfulness. Writing Avenue suits me. I love this street! It’s quiet and reflective. Writing gives me time to ruminate over life while offering sincere hope to others. For me, that’s living in the light of a great calling.
